Gabriel Jude Il'Giovine Young- man about town, unknown 21st century poet, and raconteur.
Virginia Suzanne Davies- fairy princess, munchkin, and math prodigy.
In early 2004,while Gabriel was wandering the earth, the cosmic tumblers locked into place
and a sonic convergence was awakened.
Virginia and Gabe met through mutual friend Jon Fu, of Shinobu fame. Virginia was a DJ at
KSCU and knew Jon from the local music scene. Gabe and Jon had previously recorded a
CD together. After seeing a picture of Virginia, Gabe asked (begged) Jon to introduce him to
his cute friend. The rest is history.
About two years later, Gabe proposed. He got custom M&M's printed up in Virginia's favorite
colors. They said, "Marry Me Shmoopy." After coming home from grocery shopping Virginia
noticed there was an M&M dispenser in their bag that they didn't buy. She pulled down the
arm of the little M&M man and was overwhelmed by a deluge of purple and yellow M&M's.
Figuring out what was going on, Virginia cried- and said "Yes."
This brings us to January 17, 2007. Gabe and Virginia eloped to Kauai, Hawaii to get married
on a tropical beach. The inscription on their rings? "Pookie loves Shmoopy" and "Shmoopy
loves Pookie." Aloha!
